Bed…….

We have two B&B rooms, both ensuite; a double upstairs with lovely views and a large twin room downstairs. Please note only the ground floor twin is currently available although the upstairs room can be booked by special arrangement for parties of 3/4 travelling together.

Disabled access – there are 2 steps up to the front door, but the downstairs bedroom and sunroom are all on one level and doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs. Parts of the garden are on the level although there are some steps.

………and Breakfast

Breakfast is served at a time to suit you, usually between 8.00 and 9.00 but outside these times can be arranged. It is served in our spacious sun room which has stunning views.

Free Wi-Fi is available and both rooms have their own TV.  We have local information and maps plus lots of books and games, all of which can be borrowed during your stay. The gardens and grounds are available should you wish to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity and take in the views.

Please note: Sunroom is not available at present, breakfast is served in the room. All books and games have been removed for safety reasons.

Food Sourcing

We aim to serve high quality local Scottish food on our breakfast menu. Most ingredients are produced in Scotland and/or locally in the Galloway area. Please feel free to ask about any food items and we will be happy to explain their origins.

We are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements such as gluten or lactose free on request. Healthier options are available where possible e.g. low fat spread, low fat yogurt; please let us know when booking if you have any particular requests.

The following items are sourced from Scottish/local suppliers:

Croissants & speciality breads (including sourdough, seeded and traditional white as available)from Logan Bakehouse; fantastic mobile artisan bakery, specialising in handmade organic bread using a wood fired oven! Home-made sourdough is also served when available.

Breakfast Sausages – from Clash Farm Pedigree Saddlebacks – rare breed, free range, outdoor raised pigs – and very tasty!

Bacon, Black Pudding, Lorne Sausage & Haggis – from Ramsay of Carluke

Eggs – All the eggs we use are from our own free range hens!

Coffee – for the coffee lovers among you, we serve freshly ground beans supplied by Ovenbird Artisan Coffee Roasters in Glasgow, producers of high quality coffee.

In addition……

Lunch – we can provide packed lunches on request for a small charge.

Dinner – we do not serve evening meals but there are numerous eating places within easy reach (see Eating Out Locally links). Please bear in mind when eating out that Scotland has recently introduced a zero legal limit for alcohol and driving! If you do wish to have a drink we can transport you to and from your restaurant (within a reasonable radius!) or local taxis are available. Please check opening when planning your evening meals as some places may have restrictions in place post-lockdown.
