Breakfast RoomDisabled access – there are 2 steps up to the front door, but the downstairs bedroom and sunroom are all on one level and doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs. Parts of the garden are on the level although there are some steps.

………and Breakfast

Breakfast is served at a time to suit you, usually between 8.00 and 9.00 but outside these times can be arranged. It is served in our spacious sun room which has stunning views.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and the downstairs twin room has a TV.  We have local information and maps plus lots of books and games, all of which can be borrowed during your stay. The gardens and grounds are available to explore or just to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity and the views.

Food SourcingTOB_QA-2016-17

We aim to serve high quality local Scottish food on our breakfast menu. Most ingredients are produced in Scotland and/or locally in the Galloway area and where available are organic and free range. Please feel free to ask about any food items and we will be happy to explain their origins.

We are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements such as gluten free on request. Healthier options are available where possible e.g. low fat spread, low fat yogurt; please let us know when booking if you have any particular requests.

The following items are sourced from Scottish/local suppliers:

Croissants & speciality breads (sourdough, rye bread, seeded and traditional white)from Logan Bakehouse; fantastic mobile artisan bakery, specialising in handmade organic bread using a wood fired oven!

Bacon & Sausages – from Clash Farm Pedigree Saddlebacks – rare breed, free range, outdoor raised pigs – and very tasty!

Black Pudding, Lorne Sausage & Haggis – from award-winning local butcher Alex Jack in Stranraer – the best taste and texture we have tried!

Eggs – All the eggs we use are from our own hens who enjoy the freedom to roam around our garden and fields! Subject to supply they are sometimes available for sale as well!

Coffee – for the coffee lovers among you, we serve freshly ground beans supplied by Ovenbird Artisan Coffee Roasters in Glasgow, producers of high quality coffee.

In addition……

Lunch – we can provide packed lunches on request for a small charge.

Dinner – we do not serve evening meals but there are numerous eating places within easy reach (see Eating Out Locally links). Please bear in mind when eating out that Scotland has recently introduced a zero legal limit for alcohol and driving! If you do wish to have a drink we can transport you to and from your restaurant (within a reasonable radius!) or local taxis are available.
